"Send a special someone a personalized gift this Valentine's Day. Valentine Grams, hosted by UNICEF are back and are available for purchase during both lunches from January 31 to February 7. There will be a $2 option with a card and rose and a $5 option with a card, rose, bear and sticker."
“Girl Up Club will be selling Valentine’s Day bracelets for $1 each on Wednesday and Thursday - Feb 1st ,2nd, 8th and 9th during both lunches to raise funds to end gender based violence, child marriage and support education for girls in underprivileged countries. Check out their table by the stairs in the quad.”
Join the Friday Night Live club every Wednesday after school at 3:35pm in B-106. Create a positive impact in your school & community and enhance your leadership skills. We will begin our service project this month!

Attention Student Speakers - Rotary Club will be hosting their annual student speech contest. This year's topic is "Imagine Serving Up A Better Tomorrow" first place club level winner will earn $200, second place $100, and third place $50. Club level winners can go on to earn over $20,000. Finalists representing FHS will be determined on Wednesday Feb 15 - the contest date is March 9. See Mrs. Posner in HS 104 for contest rules and information.
The Folsom High School Chapter of the National Honor Society is now accepting applications.
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Applications can be found on Mr. Nelson’s teacher webpage.
Applications are due no later than February 24.

It’s not too late to sign up for Track & Field. The first day of required practice is Monday, February 6. Please go to Home Campus for registration. If you have any questions, the coaches will be at the track Tuesday and Thursday this week at 4 PM.

Senior Portraits are due! Check your email, or see the flyer in your English and Gov/Econ Flyers. Click on the QR code, create an account, and then book your portrait appointment. Remember, the portrait session is FREE. Just tell them you are coming in for your FHS yearbook portrait.

Seniors! There are over 600 seniors at this school but only 82 of us have voted for senior superlatives. To make the voting as fair as possible we are asking for at least 250 of our seniors to put in their votes for the first round of senior superlatives.

FROM THE NURSE
Please stay home if exhibiting:
- Fever: 100.4°F or higher without medication
- New onset of cough *
- New onset of runny nose/congestion *
- Yellow or green discharge from eyes, ears, nose or any other part of the body
- More than one episode of vomiting or diarrhea
- Severe sore throat (consult with medical provider if accompanied by a headache, stomachache or rash as it may be strep)
- A rash (rashes that are itchy and scaly should be evaluated by a medical provider before coming to school)
- Pink eye (red, puffy, itchy eyes) - needs to be evaluated by a medical provider before coming to school
- Other symptoms of illness
*Students with documented chronic condition(s) that cause cough, congestion or allergy-like symptoms should submit a medical note for new onset/change of baseline of symptoms stating the student is not contagious.
When can my student return to school?
Sacramento County Public Health advises that students with symptoms of illness should stay home and test for COVID-19 (or receive an alternative diagnosis from their health care provider). Test kits are available upon request from the school site.
Students with a negative COVID-19 test result (or an alternative diagnosis from their health care provider) may return when:
- symptoms have improved significantly
AND
- if applicable,
- fever has been gone for 24 hours without any fever reducing medications
- it has been 24 hours since the last episode of vomiting or diarrhea
- it has been 24 hours since the first dose of antibiotics
- Students with a positive COVID-19 test result should contact the school health office
