Folsom High School Competitive Speech and Debate Team is holding a fundraiser at Chipotle in Folsom. The fundraiser is taking place on November 18th between 5 and 9 PM at the Chipotle at 2379 Iron Point Road. People must show the attached poster or tell the cashier they are supporting the club. We would like to show the poster on the bulletin as well.
The FHS Competitive Speech and Debate Team would also like to recognize Folsom High's success at the recent University of the Pacific (UoP) debate Competition. Folsom High won four awards and won the championship for a varsity division. They also qualified for the Tournament of Champions (TOC), the most prestigious debate competition in the country. Our success has put us on a national registry of top speech and debate schools. Please join us in congratulating the FHS Speech and Debate Team on all of their success so far this year!
Join ABI for a fall themed meeting this Wednesday the 18th on Microsoft teams. There will be fun games and activities, look on their instagram for the link to join the team and the remind code. Hope to see you there!
The FHS Society of Women Engineers will be hosting a panel with the University of Texas at Dallas on Friday November 20th, 11:30-12:30! There will be a panel of engineering students to answer any questions you have about their majors or their school!

Please join the Alliance for Bulldog Inclusion club, a club dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for students with and without disabilities. We play games such as Kahoot! and Jeopardy, and have themed parties. We’d love to have you as part of our club!

Student Government is hosting a virtual talent show on December 7th. If you would like to participate record yourself performing your talent and email it to fhs2020talentshow@gmail.com by November 23rd. 1st place will get a $50 amazon gift card and 2nd place will get a $25 gift card.
COUNSELING/CAREERS/SENIORS
Attention current AP students: As of Oct 30th, the late fee for the AP test registration is $50.00. See your AP teacher for more information or visit the FHS website, click the Students tab, click Advanced Placement.
The FHS Peer Tutor list is now available online. Interested students can find the link on the FHS Counseling website. https://www.fcusd.org/Page/1761 Students must contact Peer Tutors directly utilizing their FCUSD email address so that tutors are able to identify them as a student. All tutoring is virtual. Peer tutoring services are $12 per hour. Fees are paid directly to the Peer Tutor.
The counseling department is excited to offer drop in virtual office hours for students every Monday from 12-1pm. The zoom links are posted in your advisory google classroom.
The 20-21 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship (PSAT/NMSQT) has been postponed due to Sacramento County school closures as a result of Covid-19. Should we resume school in January we plan to offer the January 26, 2021 PSAT/NMSQT administration. This administration will have the same benefits as the October PSAT/NMSQT, including eligibility for programs administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The yearbook staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we’d like to see them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
