Math Club (also known as Mathletes) is going to be happening this year! We have plans of meeting every Friday during the Activities time, and will participate in online math competitions throughout the year. Please join the Alliance for Bulldog Inclusion club, a club dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for students with and without disabilities. We play games such as Kahoot! and Jeopardy, and have themed parties. We’d love to have you as part of our club!
Join Bulldogs Reaching Out! BRO is a club that advocates for anti-drug and anti-violence by presenting to younger students. Although we currently cannot travel to schools, BRO is making plans to virtually stay active. We hope all members can participate in making informational videos and possibly virtual trips. Science Bowl Club: Do you love science? Do you think you know a lot about it? If so, join Science Bowl Club, a fun and fast-paced jeopardy game covering a variety of topics. Over the course of this year, we will practice to win the National Science Bowl, and learn a lot on the way. Join the remind (code: fhsscic) for information about meetings and other updates! Quiz Bowl Club: Do you think you know a lot about a lot of things? Prove it, and join Quiz Bowl Club, where you’ll compete with your teammates in a fun and fast-paced round of trivia covering a vast array of topics. Are you interested in learning about the medical field? Future Health Professionals is a club dedicated to educating students about medical careers through guest speaker events, case studies, and more. Their first meeting of the year is on Tuesday, September 29, during Student Activities Time.

Girl Up is a worldwide organization that motivates the next generation of leaders to raise their voices
in schools, communities, and advocate for gender equality in health, education, and more. With over 18,000 members, Girl Up helps develop leadership skills and works to make positive differences in girls’ lives everywhere.

Would you like to create characters, fight monsters, and go on adventures with a group of friends? If so, join Dungeons and Dragons club. We will be meeting every Friday to play Dungeons and Dragons, a tabletop roleplaying game. Meetings are short and pressure-free. For more information, look at the club page on Striveful.

The FHS Peer Tutor list is now available online. Interested students can find the link on the FHS Counseling website. https://www.fcusd.org/Page/1761 Students must contact Peer Tutors directly utilizing their FCUSD email address so that tutors are able to identify them as a student. All tutoring is virtual. Peer tutoring services are $12 per hour. Fees are paid directly to the Peer Tutor.
The counseling department is excited to offer drop in virtual office hours for students every Monday from 12-1pm. The zoom links are posted in your advisory google classroom.
College visits are available to all students during Student Activity Time. Students can see the full list of visits available and obtain links to visits by visiting the College/Career Center’s College Visit Schedule. They must be signed in with their FCUSD account to access the list.

The October administration of the 20-21 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship (PSAT/NMSQT) has been postponed due to Sacramento County school closures as a result of Covid-19. Should we resume school in January we plan to offer the January 26, 2021 PSAT/NMSQT administration. This administration will have the same benefits as the October PSAT/NMSQT, including eligibility for programs administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The yearbook staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we’d like to see them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
