In the News: Cordova High career preparation courses highlighted
Students whose leadership and participation in unique hands-on courses preparing them for success in the workforce - called Career Technical Education (CTE) - were in the news media spotlight last week.
Construction: Cordova High students in the Residential and Commercial Construction CTE pathway, as well as instructor Andre Leineke, were featured by Fox 40 and Good Day Sacramento for a special project: They built dog houses for pets whose families lost homes in the Camp Fire!
Floral Design: Nearby, students in the Ornamental Horticulture CTE pathway were in the news for another unique endeavor: putting the finishing touches on decorations for instructor Jennifer Rossiter’s wedding! See the Good Day Sacramento segment here.
