Walnutwood High adolescent parents publish book
Walnutwood High students who are in the Adolescent Parent Program became published authors.
Students worked with their teacher Jennifer Harmon, the non-profit group 916 Ink and well-known local author Marilyn Reynolds on the creative writing project publishing a book of poetry and prose, "Not Broken, Awoken."
Students read from the book to an audience at their book release party on May 9.
The city of Rancho Cordova's Community Enhancement Fund funded the creative writing workshops the students completed with 916 Ink.
