Intel gives students electricity lesson
As part of National Engineer's week Intel volunteers ran a STEM event for fourth graders at Gold Ridge Elementary to learn fun ways to generate electricity.
Intel volunteers set up nine stations with Makey Makey kits for students to learn about generating electricity.
At stations students played Scratch Pacman, played a piano with fruit, and at the conductive station they made a cat meow on a computer through passing electricity.
Students learned that conductors pass an electricity charge and insulators don't, figuring out which items were conductors and which were insulators was part of the learning process.
