As the summer sun sets, we applaud #TeamFCUSD's tireless efforts, preparing to welcome students, staff, and families for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Each endeavor, every moment invested, has been a testament to the collective passion for fostering growth, learning, and student success. Let's take a moment to reflect on the remarkable activities that have unfolded over the summer:

  • Campus Safety Training: A dedicated group of campus monitors and yard supervisors underwent comprehensive training, reinforcing their pivotal role in creating a secure and positive school culture.

  • Welcome-Back Presentation: Welcome-back message from Superintendent Sarah Koligian at district office broadcasted to all FCUSD schools sites on YouTube.

  • Project Management & Construction: Our Facilities and Planning Department worked to oversee and manage the ongoing construction of Alder Creek Elementary School, a testament to our commitment to providing top-notch facilities for our students.

  • CTE Workshop: The Annual CTE 101 Professional Development Workshop brought together educators, administrators, and staff to collaboratively plan and review the outstanding achievements and accolades of Career Technical Education at FCUSD. Attendees also toured CTE facilities at Folsom High School.

  • Leadership Charge Session: FCUSD Leadership Team members united at Cordova High School and Mangini Ranch Elementary to forge a cohesive vision for the year ahead, ensuring a harmonious and focused educational journey for the 2023-2024 school year.

  • Campus Maintenance: The diligent efforts of our Maintenance & Operations team have transformed our campuses into inviting havens, ready to welcome back students and staff.

  • Substance Prevention Training: The Department of Attendance & Due Process and the Safety Department took significant strides in equipping staff with essential tools and knowledge to provide support and services to schools, students, and families.

  • Teacher Training: Over 150 passionate educators, new to FCUSD, embarked on their journey and honed their skills to provide outstanding educational experiences for our students.

  • VAPA Music Groove: Cordova High School's Visual and Performing Arts music teachers set the tone for the new year with group activities to share infectious enthusiasm and creativity with fellow VAPA teachers.

  • Food Services Training- Training was underway over the summer at Folsom High School for the Food Services Department. 

FCUSD stands united and ready to extend a warm welcome to students and families. The growth, preparation, and dedication poured into this summer ensure that the 2023-2024 school year is poised to be a remarkable chapter in our educational journey.
