Mather Heights pumpkin-art book reports a hit with students
Students at Mather Heights Elementary had a fun lesson in literacy and pumpkin art.
A project called Pumpkin Parade, spearheaded by second-grade teacher Sarah Buckman, allows students in grades 1-5 to participate by doing a pumpkin book report and creating pumpkin art of the main character in the book they read. This is the second year students from the school participated in this fun learning activity.
Many students worked with family members on their masterpieces. What a fun and collaborative way to learn this fall!
The student's pumpkin art creations are being displayed in the school's library.
