Blanche Sprentz 2nd grader's bake sale raises money for kids with cancer
Blanche Sprentz second grader Dylan Leatherman baked away on his weekend and organized a bake sale to benefit kids with cancer.
Blanche Sprentz is holding a Pennies for Patients Drive this month to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise funds for a cure for children with cancer.
Leatherman went home to his mom and asked to coordinate a bake sale in honor of World Cancer Day on Feb. 4. He spent his weekend baking goods to sell and raised $126 in pennies to benefit his cause.
His principal Andy Smith was so impressed with Dylan's initiative he alerted us to his good deed. Way to go!
