New AP at RCEFolsom Cordova is pleased to announce Carmelita Goldsby as the new Assistant Principal for Rancho Cordova Elementary, starting in the 2023-24 school year.

With 23 years of experience in education, Ms. Goldsby comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, having previously worked as a principal at Lodi Unified School District, and Washington Unified School District. She recounts that one of her greatest leadership moments was leading her school to successfully earn a Gold Award from the California PBIS Coalition in 2022.

She has a proven track record of success in improving student achievement and promoting a positive school culture, serving students from diverse cultures, languages, and economic backgrounds. In addition to her impressive qualifications, Ms. Goldsby is also fluent in Spanish, which will undoubtedly be an asset to our diverse community. Her ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking families and students will help to create an inclusive learning environment for all.

A resident of Rancho Cordova, Ms. Goldsby is excited to work in her hometown. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. We are excited to welcome Ms. Goldsby to Team FCUSD and look forward to working with her to continue providing the best possible education for our students.
