Announcing Tarik McFall to be Sutter Middle School Principal
Folsom Cordova is pleased to announce that Tarik McFall will become the new principal for Sutter Middle School.
Mr. McFall comes to us from Sacramento City Unified School District, bringing 14 years of educational experience. For the last eight years, he has served as a middle school administrator, most recently as the principal of Albert Einstein Middle School and prior to that, as the Assistant Principal of Fern Bacon Middle School. As a classroom teacher, he has taught elementary and middle school grades, both English Language Arts and History. McFall earned his Bachelor of Arts from CSU Chico, his teaching credential from CSU Sacramento, and his Master of Arts from the University of the Pacific.
His philosophy as an administrator is that “all students are capable of learning” and is dedicated “to providing opportunities for students to realize their full potential for academic and personal growth, in an environment that embraces equity and inclusiveness.” A favorite quote of his is from Howard Gardner which states “it's not how smart you are that matters, what really counts is how you are smart."
Not only will McFall join TeamFCUSD as an administrator, but he will join as a parent in the District as well. He lives in Mather with his wife Mindy, and their daughter Ava who will begin Kindergarten at Mather Heights Elementary next school year. We warmly welcome Tarik McFall to the Folsom Cordova family.
