Mitchell Middle teacher honored for student educational video work

Mitchel MS teacher Peter Lane, headshot Congratulations to W.E.Mitchell Middle School teacher Peter Lane for being named the SEVA Teacher of the Week!

Hear and watch his students talk about their dedicated teacher on our Facebook post. Lane, a 17-year veteran at Mitchell, teaches Media Arts, which covers: composition in art, video production, animation, and web design.

Lane has been operating the school's SEVA Studio for the last seven years. He shared that his students learn about basics on storytelling, pre-production, production, and post-production; copyright, attribution, and more.

While his students are usually behind the camera, head over to our Twitter post to see them in action.

The SEVA Studio was made possible in part from a grant from the Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium (SECC). You might know them as the educational Channels 15 and 16 on TV. We are fortunate to have SEVA Studios at three of our campuses, W.E. Mitchell, Folsom High and Cordova High.
