Career pathway students get top honors at state design contest
Thirteen students from FCUSD competed at the 51st annual SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference in April.
In the Engineering Technology/Designcompetition, First Place/Gold Medal went to the Folsom High team, Alba Joy, Anna Hagiwara, and Dhruv Sangamwar for their project, a prototype recycling station. These students qualified to compete at the 54th Annual National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY on June 25-29, 2018.
Third Place/Bronze Medal was awarded to Folsom High team Jack Li, Aiden Szeto and Bart Wysoczynski, for their retractable table design. Folsom High student Wayson Lee earned a Second Place/Silver Medal in Related Technical Math . Additionally, two teams of students from Vista del Lago High competed in 3-D Visualization and Animation .
