The Sacramento Kings and Kaiser Permanente partnered up to host a rally for the students that participated in the state fitness exams. The main focus of this rally was to inspire and motivate students to stay active and maintain a healthy life style.
During their fifth period classes, the students went to the gymnasium to participate in this rally. The Kings mascot, Slamson, kicked off the rally with basketball tricks and then showcased his dance moves. Then the Kings dancers came out to perform a routine for the students.
The dancers and Slamson gave away prizes to the students and helped host multiple games centered on physical activity and basketball.
Victoria Ackerson, a participant said, “It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun. I think it’s really cool that Kaiser and the Kings are giving back to the community and taking the time to help motivate us.”

McLemore emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication. He told the students, “Keep working hard to make it to the next level”.
McLemore also hoped that this event would have a positive impact on the students and would encourage them to work hard at everything they do and maintain a healthy life style.
