FCUSD welcomes two new Supervisors
FCUSD welcomes Kamina Staples as an Expanded Learning Supervisor.
With over 18 years of experience in the education field, Kamina Staples has served in various roles, such as Camp Leader, After-School Educator, After-School Supervisor, Program Director, Preschool Teacher, Preschool Director, and Field Director for public and private educational institutions throughout California. Her diverse experiences uniquely equip her to understand and provide quality support to families, teachers, and students ranging from preschool to high school ages.
In her personal life, Kamina is happily married with a 10-year-old son, a 7-year-old daughter, a 4-year-old daughter, and a one-year-old French bulldog. Originally hailing from the Bay Area, Kamina has called Sacramento home for the past 7 years. Excited to be a part of the FCUSD family, Kamina looks forward to contributing her wealth of knowledge and skills to the mission of serving students and supporting their achievement.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from San Jose State University and a Master of Arts from the University of Phoenix.
FCUSD welcomes Mikki Frazier as an Expanded Learning Supervisor.
Inspired by her experience as the first in her family to graduate college through an athletic scholarship, Mikki brings positive energy, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a problem-solving attitude to cultivating a healthy team culture, scaling initiatives, empowering and engaging others, and a passion to positively impact students and families through expanded learning opportunities.
In her role as the Director of Programs at Head-Royce School, a K-12 Independent School in Oakland California for the last seventeen years, Mikki served as the primary strategist, program architect, and leader of the After-School, Summer Camp, and Heads Up Program, which served approximately one thousand students annually. Through this role, Mikki was able to build a robust menu of offerings, establish sustainable partnerships and systems, engage local school districts, and build relationships in the community by providing transformational youth programs.
As a Sacramento native, Mikki is excited to return to her hometown and join the amazing team at FCUSD. Outside of work, Mikki can be found with her two boys, either cheering on Cameron at his Sierra Junior College men’s basketball games or chasing her three-year-old Carter. And if there’s any time left after all that, she’s hoping to connect with tennis or running partners, so please reach out if interested!
Ms. Frazier holds a Bachelor of Arts from Holy Names University and a Master of Arts from the University of San Francisco.
