CHS seniors get on-the-spot acceptance to college at HBCU fair
Nine seniors from Cordova High School attended the U-CAN Historically Black College & University Fair on Sept. 13, at Rio Americano High School.
All nine seniors received acceptance letters, with a total of 28 letters between the group of students that attended.
Here are the students that received college acceptance letters:
Brandy Lee: Benedict College, Livingston College
Cailee Anderson: Allen University, Benedict College, Livingston College
Carolyn Banks: Bennett College, Benedict College, Livingston College
Chase Allen: Alabama State University, Alabama A&M University, Livingstone College, and Langston University (Legacy Scholarship)
Hunter Norton: Benedict College, Livingston College
Janiece McCray: Allen University,Bennett College, Benedict College, Johnson C. Smith University w/ $22,000 scholarship, Livingston College
Julius Adeluola: Grambling State University, Harris-Stone State University
Maisha Davis: Allen University, Benedict College, Livingston College
Melé Milton-Brown: Benedict College, Bennett College, Harris-Stone University, Johnson C. Smith University, Livingstone College
The students were chaperoned at the college fair by CHS counselors Manuel Fierro, Eric Mejia and teacher Amy Wallace. Congratulations to these seniors!
