Folsom Middle Pentathlon team ranked 4th in national competition
A Folsom Middle School team ranked fourth nationally in the Academic Pentathlon 2018 National Competition.
The team racked up 21 medals in the competition. Here are the awards students earned: Rishabh Ambavanekar and Suryatejas Appana received the following medals: Gold Science and Fine Arts, Bronze Mathematics, and a Silver in Social Science. Daniel Cao earned a Bronze in Mathematics. Alexander Chen, Arun Dixit and Siyu Du earned a Bronze in Science and Mathematics. Avni Duda earned a Gold in Science and Mathematics, Bronze in Fine Arts, and a Bronze overall for honor. Devansh Katiyar earned a Bronze in Social Science. Wenlin Lei earned a Silver in Mathematics and a Bronze in Social Science. Akshar Omkar and Zachary Ostenberg earned a Bronze in Mathematics. Shruti Sahoo and Srujana Poluri earned Gold in Science, Mathematics and Social Science, Silver in overall Honor and Silver overall. Yiwen Shu earned a Gold in Mathematics and Kevin Sun earned a Gold in Mathematics.
