Folsom Hills students recognized at Sac State's 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's Speech
Veronica Robles' third grade class from Folsom Hills Elementary were honored at a brunch at Sac State celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's speech. Robles' students were recognized for their creativity in a poster contest themed "Empathy, Equity and Esteem." They were the only elementary students in attendance at the event. Students had the opportunity to hear a moving speech, "Esteeming Those Who Come Before Us," by motivational speaker Inky Johnson. |
