Michele Cooper announced AP at CHS
Folsom Cordova is pleased to announce Michele Cooper has been named an Assistant Principal for Cordova High School. Ms. Cooper has worked at Cordova High School for the past five years, most recently serving as the Interim Assistant Principal.
She started as an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher and quickly moved into the role of full-time Academic Support Coach. For the past few years, she has focused on staff professional development, WASC coordination, leading Professional Learning Communities (PLC), and providing teachers with support in transitioning between in-person and virtual learning. During the 2020-21 school year, she was part of the expert teacher team for FCUSD and provided district-wide professional development and coaching. Ms. Cooper was also honored as Support Person of the Year at CHS. She is a strong believer in the school community and has a true passion for working with Cordova students. This year, she has welcomed her own children as freshman Lancers, transferring them from out of district to take advantage of the amazing programs that CHS has to offer. Ms. Cooper earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hunter College in NYC and a Master’s degree in Teaching from State University at New Paltz. Prior to her work with FCUSD, she taught in higher education and worked in the financial industry in NYC.
