Cordova Boys Basketball Team Bring Home Capital Athletic League Championship

Rancho Cordova, Calif. – After nine wins, Cordova High School’s Men’s Varsity Basketball Team are the 2013-2014 Capital Athletic League Champions.  
CHS earned this title after beating Whitney 71-61 on Tuesday night.
They will now be moving on to the playoffs.
CHS Head Varsity Coach Fletcher Johnson and Assistant Varsity Coaches Ed Harris and Leonard Bridges have guided their team through a successful season. Along with Whitney, the lancers have defeated Rio Americano, Mira Loma and El Camino.
Cordova High School Athletic Director Shane M. Jackson said, “[It is] a great accomplishment for Cordova.”
The CHS Varsity Men’s Basketball Team is 9-1, with only one loss against Antelope High School.
This is the second time in four years that CHS has won the Capital Athletic League Championship.
The last time was in the 2010-2011 school year.
Congratulations to the CHS lancers on being Capital Athletic League Champions.
