What we heard: Input from Education Town Halls and spending plan survey

Education Town Halls 2019 From February through April, hundreds of teachers, support staff, families, and students offered their feedback on how Folsom Cordova should prioritize its resources to support student success.

Nearly 240 of them participated in seven Education Town Halls, leaving more than 1,000 thoughts about school performance, culture and climate, and college and career readiness. Another 820 left their feedback in a Districtwide survey.

What common themes arose from all of this input?

What’s next? This input will be used to update our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), our guiding plan for supporting our highest-need students and measuring whether those actions are effective. A District working group representing teachers, administrators, parents and others will finalize draft revisions to the LCAP later this month and will present them to the Board of Education in June as part of the annual budget adoption process.
