VIDEO: Cordova High remembers 9/11 victims with flag tribute
The AF JROTC Color Guard and Cadets at Cordova High paid tribute to the the victims who lost their lives seventeen years ago in the 9/11 attacks this past Tuesday morning Sept. 11.
Students and staff at Cordova High participated in honoring the victims in a moment of silence and tribute ceremony. An American Flag with 3,000 names of those that perished in the attacks was raised at half-staff during the ceremony.
Master Sgt. Phil Magreevy who teaches the ROTC class at Cordova High addressed students and staff, pointing out the fact that many students were babies or children when the attack happened seventeen years ago and how it changed the fabric of America. He discussed the importance of continuing to honor and remember the victims that were killed or injured in the 9/11 attacks.
