Kim ChristiersonKim Christierson

FCUSD is pleased to announce that Mrs. Kim Christierson has been named the Principal of Empire Oaks Elementary for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.

Since 2001, Mrs. Christierson has been a dedicated member of the Folsom Cordova Unified School District, where she has taught Kindergarten through 5th grade and for the past eight years, has served as an elementary school administrator.  Currently, she is the principal of White Rock Elementary in Rancho Cordova.

She believes that every student is unique, with gifts that should be nurtured so they realize their full potential. As an administrator, she works to create a school culture that prioritizes the comprehensive development of each child – academically, socially, and emotionally. Mrs. Christierson, along with her husband of 27 years, has been an active part of the Folsom community, where they have raised two boys who have successfully graduated from FCUSD schools and are now pursuing their dreams in college and graduate school. She enjoys playing with her two labs, gardening, and traveling.

Mrs. Christierson holds a master’s degree in leadership and administration and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. 

 

Amber LopezAmber Lozano 

Folsom Cordova is pleased to announce Amber Lozano as the Principal for Oak Chan Elementary School.

With a wealth of experience in the field of education and a commitment to fostering academic excellence, Ms. Lozano brings a dynamic blend of leadership and expertise to our school community. Ms. Lozano joins us from the Twin Rivers Unified School District and has seventeen years of experience in various educational roles, including teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator in elementary, middle, and high schools. Ms. Lozano is currently the Principal at Rio Linda Preparatory Academy and will begin her role as Principal at Oak Chan in the fall of 2024.

"I am incredibly honored to join the esteemed team at Oak Chan," says Ms. Lozano. "My goal is to collaborate with staff, students, and families to cultivate a culture of excellence and innovation, ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education that prepares them for life-long success. My children were Oak Chan students, and I am excited to continue those incredible educational experiences for others in my community".

Ms. Lozano holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Chico State University and a Master of Arts in Education from San Jose State University, showcasing a dedication to continuous learning and professional development.  Join us in welcoming Amber Lozano to Team FCUSD as we embark on a journey of growth and achievement under her leadership.
