Kate Hazarian, MSW named Social Emotional Academic Development (S.E.A.D.) Coordinator
Folsom Cordova is pleased to welcome Kate Hazarian, MSW as our Social Emotional Academic Development (S.E.A.D.) Coordinator. Ms. Hazarian comes to us from San Juan Unified School District where she most recently served as the Vice Principal at Greer Elementary School and prior to that, as the Director of Family Engagement and Partnership Development. With close to 30 years of experience in education, and experience working for three school districts, Ms. Hazarian has implemented several successful programs focusing on equity for underserved student populations, including Parent Teacher Home Visit Project, Restorative Practices for resolving parent and community concerns, Multi-Tiers System of Support (MTSS), partnership development and multiple other school and district-wide programs for supporting homeless, foster youth, low income, English language learners and chronically absent students. Her proven track record of program implementation with a social work lens has consistently resulted in improved student achievement outcomes.
Ms. Hazarian earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Social work from the California University, Sacramento. Additionally, she has an Administrative Credential and Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
