New AP at CHS for 2023-2024

Folsom Cordova is pleased to announce Cody Owens as a new Assistant Principal for Cordova High School for the 2023-24 school year.

Mr. Owens is currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Athletics and Athletics Director at Thousand Oaks High School where he oversees staff evaluations, IEP caseloads and meetings, and manages the activity of 26 varsity sports.  Before joining Thousand Oaks High School, Mr. Owens worked at multiple schools in the Fremont Union High School District as an Athletic Director, a History teacher and team curriculum leader.

During his tenure as an educational leader, Mr. Owens has developed a strong reputation for his commitment to building positive school cultures and fostering civic-minded students who are ready to navigate the diverse world around them. He has proven himself adept at applying effective teaching strategies to high-risk populations and developing Response to Intervention programs that make a difference in students' lives.

Mr. Owens earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge, and his Master of Arts degree from Santa Clara University.
