Sandra J. Gallardo Elementary students share kindness messages
The "Gallardo Loves Kindness" event took place on the elementary school campus on Valentine's Day, when students were encouraged to write acts of kindness on post it notes and create a giant kindness art design with the student messages.
The idea came about from the school's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) team including second-grade teachers Christy DeGaugh, Debbie Herman and Jeanne Cramer. Gallardo's yard supervisors helped make their vision for students possible by helping students write their kindness notes during recess time.
Parent and PTA member Michelle Clayton was kind enough to create a kindness rainbow-colored heart with all of the students positive messages on display in the school's multipurpose room.
What a thoughtful and amazing way to spread kindness and promote a positive campus culture!
