AM/PM Hybrid Schedule, Arrival Dismissal

 

Bell Schedule 

Monday:   Students work asynchronously for most of the day, synchronous morning meeting 8:25 to 8:55 virtually with all students.  Students work in distance learning for the remainder of the day. (Asynchronous=on their own, Synchronous=meeting with the teacher at the same time virtually)

Tuesday-Friday: AM in person session - 8:25-11:00

Tuesday-Friday: PM in person session - 12:00-2:37 

Distance learning sessions T-F 8:25-2:37 Mixture of synchronous and asynchronous work, Monday is the same for both distance and in person learners.

 

 

 

Arrival/Dismissal timing 

(It is critical that students arrive on time and are picked up in a timely fashion)

AM Session Arrival: AM:  8:10-8:20 

      • Students arrive 8:10-8:20 at their assigned gate.

      • At 8:20, Teachers and staff stage and pick up kids at gate queue marks and escort them to classroom queue marks.

      •  Students enter one at a time,  sanitize hands, and go to assigned desks.

      • Class starts at 8:25.

 

AM Session Dismissal:  

      • At 10:45 students in class sanitize hands one at a time and go to their classroom queue marks outside class.   

      • At 10:50, Teachers escort students back to their gate for dismissal. 

      • Parents pick up at 11:00. Please arrive at 10:50 for pick up.

      • 10:50-11:00:  As you see parents, kids are dismissed through the gate.

      • 11:00-12:00: Sanitation

        • All surfaces wiped down: Desks, counters, door knobs. Fogging tables are fogged.

      • 11:00-11:40 Staff Lunch: Students that are not picked up are sent to the office--staged in chairs in front of the mural.

 

PM Session Arrival:

      • Students arrive at 11:50 to 12:00 at their assigned gate.

      • At 11:50 Teachers and staff stage and pick up kids at gate queue marks and escort them to classroom queue marks.

      • Students enter one at a time,  sanitize hands, and go to assigned desks.

      • Class starts at 12:00.

 

PM Session Dismissal:

      • At 2:22 students in class sanitize hands one at a time and go to their classroom queue marks outside class.   
      • At 2:27, Teachers and staff escort students back to their gate for dismissal. 

      • Parents pick up at 2:37. Parents please be at the dismissal gate at 2:27.

      • 2:27-2:37: As you see parents, kids are dismissed through the gate.

      • 2:37-6pm: Sanitation/cleaning

        • All surfaces wiped down: Desks, counters, door knobs. Fogging table fogged.

      • Students that are not picked up are sent to the office--staged in chairs in front of the mural.

Gate 1:  Kinder Suleiman/Horton, ASES, K-2 Adair  (Black gate near kinder yard)

Gate queue marks are behind the classrooms facing the kinder yard.  Gate 1 students will come in gate one and be escorted to the kinder yard gate and lined up on their numbers, which are on the backside of the classrooms.

 

Gate 2:  Buses, Opportunity  (Black gate near bus stop)

Gate 2 students will be lined up on gate queue marks near the backside of the multipurpose room under the small overhang. Opportunity will walk through gate 2 and straight to their classroom queue marks.

 

Gate 3:  2nd Grade Limpus and Vuilleumier  (Black gate near the the multipurpose room entrance)

Mrs. Limpus’ class will queue up near gate 3 adjacent to the mural by the front office. Mrs. Vuilleumier’s class will queue up inside gate 3 near the multipurpose room doors adjacent to the American flag.

Flow of traffic: Mrs. Limpus’ class will walk first to their class, followed by Mrs. Vuilleumier’s class for arrival.  For dismissal Mrs. Vuilleumier will queue up by the gate 3 first, followed by Mrs. Limpus.  Staff will have to monitor student release one at a time through the gate.

 

Gate 4:  Kinder Keith  (Black gate near front office doors)

Mrs.  Keith’s class will queue up at gate 4 on orange queue marks adjacent to the front office.  Room 10 will be escorted to classroom yellow queue marks in the hallway adjacent to room 10.

 

Gate 5: 1st Grade Tarr and Frame  (Black gate near the back of the admin office near bike rack)

Mrs. Frame’s  class will queue up at gate 5 in the adjacent hallway, near the bike rack.  Mrs. Tarr’s class will queue up at gate 5 near the speech room.

 

Gate 6:  3rd Grade Sheppard, 3-5 Tesch (Black gate near the bike rack)

Mrs. Sheppard’s class will queue up at her classroom yellow queue marks. Mrs. Sheppard’s class does not have gate que marks; students will come through the gate and travel directly  to her classroom.

Mrs. Tesch will have students riding the bus.  Those students coming through gate 6 will go directly to the classroom queue marks. Bus riders will be directed to the classroom queue marks.

 

Gate 7:  4th Ambrose, 5th Zampieri (Black gate at the end of the front parking lot near intermediate play structure)

Mr. Ambrose will have his students walk through gate 7 to queue up under the shade structure.  He will then take his students to classroom queue marks in the adjacent hallway to his classroom.

Mrs. Zampieri’s 5th grade class will walk through gate 7 and then queue up outside room 16 classroom markers.  Mrs. Zampieri’s class does not have separate gate queue marks; They go straight to the classroom queue marks.

  

  • Parents drop off at locations that are near arrival  gate points by grade level.  Gates open at 8:10 AM / 11:50 PM, students walk to staging queue marks by gates and then are escorted to classroom queue marks.  Students sanitize hands in the classroom and then sit down in their AM or PM assigned desk.
  • All staff will need to be out aiding in queuing students up at Gate locations and then transporting students to class queue locations at 8:15-8:20. Two colors for staging: One for gate (orange) and one for classroom (Yellow) with the exception of Mrs. Sheppard, Adair’s, Tesch, and Zampieri’s classrooms.
  • At the close of the AM or PM session, teachers will queue  students on numbers outside their classrooms and walk them to gate queue locations. Teachers without gate queue markers release from classroom marks.  Teachers dismiss  students, once student sees their parents or if a student has permission to be  a walker etc.
