Sutter Middle School PTA

    The next Sutter Middle School Association Meeting is scheduled for  Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 3:30 p.m., in room A-108. Students can attend the Homework Club in the library, and siblings are welcome. We will be voting on modifying the the budget and the release of funds for the remainder of this year as well as the beginning of next year, modifying to our Standing Rules, electing our 2020-20201 Executive Board, and reviewing the year to date. 
    The nominees for the 2020-20201 Executive Board are:

    It is proposed that Standing Rule 17 (Standing Comittees) be updated to modify the Student Store/Spirit Wear standing committee to be two separate standing committees: Student Store and Spirit Wear:
    " 17. Standing Committees - The standing committees of this Association include Fundraising, Membership, Volunteers, PTA Activities, Student Store, and Spirit Wear."

    Thank you to all the families who supported our Chick-fil-A Carry Out Night! We raised $1,094 to continue supporting programs at Sutter Middle School!
    Thank you to all the families that supported our Cash for Cougars drive! Together we raised over $21,000 for Sutter Middle School! Congratulations to Mrs. Blankenfeld's Advisory for winning a trip to Dutch Bros with 100% participation! Thank you to Ms. Conte and Leadership for their help with signage.
    During the GRIT and Growth Midset assembly on September 10, 2019, students were invited by Dr. Blake Brandes to visit his website to download a free album at www.blakespeaks.com; the music page can be accessed from there or by clicking here.

    Cash for Cougars Advisory Competition is going on now! Win a field trip to Dutch Bros for your Advisory Class! Advisories must have 95% participation to qualify. The Advisory in first place is a walking field trip to Dutch Bros with Mrs. Phillips; the Advisory in second place will receive donuts; the Advisory in third place will receive Pop-Tarts. Donate today!

    Spirit Wear is sold every Friday at the Student Store.  For Spirit Wear questions, contact Kym Saylor.
    * Upcoming Dates
    The Fall Book Fair will run Friday October 4 - Friday October 11, in A-108 next to the Library.
    * National PTA Reflections Arts Program
    2019-2020 marks the 50th year of the Reflections program! Students are invited to participate and submit original artwork in one of six areas reflecting this year's theme of "Look Within".  Submissions are due in October. Visit the Reflections page to learn more.
