• English as a Second Language (ESL)

    The ESL program is for non-native speakers of English who want to improve their language skills. All classes integrate reading, writing, listening, speaking, computer skills, and more. To enroll into an ESL class, students must first register in person at Folsom Cordova Adult School, as well as take a placement test.
    ESL Levels and classes inlcude:
    • Beginning low
    • Beginning high
    • Intermediate Low
    • Intermediate High
    • Advanced
    • Accent Reduction for Work and Everyday Life
    • United States Citizenship
    • Parent ESL class at Theodore Judah Elementary in Folsom
    • Distance Learning



    Class Schedules 

    1. ESL

    All day classes are from 9:00am-11:30am

    All eveing classes are from 6:00pm-8:30pm


    2. ESL Accent Reduction for Work and Everyday Life

    for intermediate to advanced students

    Tuesday and Thursday 11:45am-12:45pm 


     3. U.S. Citizenship

    for beginning high to advanced students

    4. ESL multi-level for parents of children in school

    located at Theodore Judah Elementary School in Folsom

    Monday through Thursday 8:45am-10:45am 


    5. Distance Learning:  Learn English at Home

    This class is for students who prefer to learn English at home. Students come to class once a week, check-out homework packets and videos, and return for new materials on a weekly basis. Monday through Thursday 11:45AM-12:45pm and  Wednesdays 6:00pm-8:00pm



    Registration is completed in person at the Folsom Cordova Adult School. Please fill-out the registration form and attend an orientation session for testing and placement.

    Note: A person must be 18 years or older to attend an ESL class at Folsom Cordova Adult School.
