Welcome to the Folsom Cordova Unified School District Before and After School Student Care Program home page. We serve the following sites:

MISSION

Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where the lives of students can be enriched both socially and educationally. The goal of the FCUSD Extended Day Care Programs is to provide a quality before and after-school program for parents that is accessible, convenient, safe, and affordable. Our centers are located on 15 elementary campuses in both Folsom and Rancho Cordova. We provide a program that meets the educational, cultural, and social needs of the community. Program services are provided in a professional, courteous, and ethical manner in a secure environment that is supervised by well-educated, caring adults. We encourage the enhancement of self-esteem and self-worth of students, introduce them to new experiences, build on learned skills, and provide opportunities to help students build meaningful relationships with other students and the adults who oversee the program.

REGISTRATION for the 2025/2026 SCHOOL YEAR:

Step one: Add your name to our waitlist on the After-school Enrollment Page.

Step two: The Student Care office will contact you when a space is available at your school of attendance. You will be asked to provide the following:

• Verification of income if requesting a reduced rate - the household income must be less than $5,900.00 per month before taxes.
• A method of payment - we accept VISA or MASTERCARD. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• We are not able to provide short-term (2 - 4 weeks) care.
• All sites in both Folsom and Rancho Cordova have wait lists:  
  • Please note that a wait list can develop at any school very quickly and may not immediately be updated on this website. 
  • Getting on a wait list does not guarantee a spot in Student Care; many of our sites are impacted and require a significant wait to secure a spot. 
  • You will receive a call only if there is an available space in the program. 
• The Student Care office is open for registration Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm:
  • We are closed on Fridays.
  • During school breaks, please call for office hours.
• Students offered a spot in Student Care and fully registered by the end of July will be able to start the program on the first day of school.
• We no longer offer care during holidays or breaks, except for our summer program (details will be shared at a later date).
