K-12 School Choice
2025-26 Elementary School Choice
The application deadline for elementary school choice applications is March 15, 2025 to your home boundary school.
Elementary families must submit school choice applications annually.
For continuing school choice requests, the form is returned with the student’s registration packet at the student’s current school of attendance.
For new school choice requests, the form is returned to the student’s home school (based on household address). Students must live within the FCUSD District. Resident school is based upon the student's legal residence and the district boundary assigned school. If space is available, a student may CHOICE to a district school outside of the established assigned boundary area. CHOICE applicants must provide student transportation to and from the CHOICE school.
If space becomes available, this School Choice/Transfer Application is for the current school year only, and it may become necessary to return your student to his/her home school the following year to accommodate children who have moved into the school's attendance area during the school year.
The approval of your application for School Choice may be revoked at any time if your student fails to comply with the school’s rules regarding completion of assigned work, student behavior, and attendance, including arrival and departure times.
Applications will be available at your home boundary school on February 3.
School sites will notify families of school choice acceptance/denial in mid-May.
Note - Some schools may not be able to accept CHOICE applications due to grade level or program enrollment capacity. Contact CHOICE school for more information.
2025-26 Secondary School Choice
Secondary School Choice Application forms are due February 3, 2025, to your home-boundary school.
For new school choice requests, the form is returned to the student’s home school (based on household address)
Students must live within the FCUSD District. Resident school is based upon the student's legal residence and the district boundary assigned school. If space is available, a student may CHOICE to a District school outside of the established assigned boundary area. CHOICE applicants must provide student transportation to and from the CHOICE school. Accepted CHOICE students commit to the CHOICE school for the remainder of their middle or high school years. Notification of acceptance and/or denial will be sent to you from the requested CHOICE school.
2025/26 School CHOICE Updates:
