Who may refer a child?

• Parents/Guardians
• Physicians
• School Personnel
• Child Care Providers
• Infant/Toddler Program Staff

Possible reasons for referral:

• Birth complications or medical disorders
• Medical diagnosis that may impact the child's development
• Child has difficulty understanding simple directions
• Parent or caregiver has difficulty understanding the child's speech
• Social, emotional and/or behavioral concerns
• Child is not meeting developmental milestones in communication, fine or gross motor skills, social/emotional and/or self-help skills
• Child appears to be learning more slowly than peers of the same age
