Visual Arts Pilot Program:
Thanks Art & Music in our Schools funding via Proposition 28, FCUSD is piloting our Elementary Visual Arts Program! TK-5th grade students receive a 45 minute Visual Art lesson each week. The pilot began during the 24-25 school year with 3 elementary schools and 2 full time credentialed Visual Arts teachers. It has expanded to 10 elementary schools with 7 full time credentialed Visual Arts teachers in the 25-26 school year. We plan to expand each year until we have the program at every elementary school in our district.
Art Ark:
The City of Rancho Cordova collaborates with The Crocker Art Museum to bring the Crocker Art Ark to our elementary schools in Rancho Cordova. The program is administered by the Cordova Community Council and is funded by the City of Rancho Cordova Community Enhancement Grant.
Mills Station Art & Culture Center:
The City of Rancho Cordova collaborates with all public schools within the city limits to showcase student artwork every spring. This year the 4th annual student art show will be on display during March and April, located at the MACC. FCUSD greatly appreciates this partnership with the City of Rancho Cordova.
Attention parents/guardians at our Folsom Elementary Schools:
Thanks to our partnerships with the PTA and PTO associations, programs such as Meet the Masters and FAME bring the arts to our public schools. Please contact the school directly about Visual Arts programs offered at that school site.
