Playgroup

First 5 Sacramento offers a FREE Playgroup for children ages birth to five years and their parents. Join us as we play, craft, read and connect with others in ways that will help pave the way for a successful educational journey for your child. Playgroup staff provide a wide variety of activities geared toward school readiness, as well as age-related resources to parents and caregivers. 

Parent/Guardian participation is required.

Participation Forms

Upon admission, each family is required to fill out a consent form, and complete a two-part questionnaire online on behalf of each child attending playgroup. Families may print and fill out the consent prior to arrival, or copies are available at Cordova Lane Center. Questionnaires are submitted electronically only.

Parent Cafés

For parents of children 0-5 focused on protective factors, using the "Be Strong Families" café model. Cafés lead structured, small group conversations to facilitate transformation and healing within families, build community, develop social connections, center parent knowledge, create parent leadership opportunities, as well as provide time for adult interaction only.

Child care is provided. Dates and times are to be determined.
