Summer Preceptorship Program

What is CTESPP?:

CTESPP, or the Career Technical Education Summer Preceptorship Program, is an annual summer internship program for current CTE students entering grades 10–12 in the next school year.

The program lasts three or four weeks, and the following dates apply to the Summer 2026 program. Students begin with two half-day sessions focused on professionalism and workplace soft skills on Thursday and Friday, June 3–4, at either Vista del Lago High School or Cordova High School.

On Friday, June 5, students will report to their internship sites for onboarding and orientation activities. Full internship schedules begin Monday, June 8, although specific start times and schedules may vary depending on the business partner.

Internships run for either:

  • Three weeks: June 8–23
  • Four weeks: June 8–30

Students work with business partners approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility based on the needs of the business or organization.

The program concludes with a CTE Summer Program Showcase celebration on June 30, where students and business partners share projects, reflect on their experiences, and receive recognition for their work. All students, families, and business partners are encouraged to attend.
