Folsom Cordova Unified School District employs Mental Health Specialists to support students, families, and staff in the areas of mental health, social services (community-based needs, including pro-social recreation), social emotional learning, and positive behavioral interventions and supports.
Ms. Scarlett Stoppa (LCSW99312, PPSC) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years experience providing general education and ERMHS counseling support in K-12 school settings, and individual, group, and family counseling in a community-based agency specializing in wilderness and experiential therapies. Ms. Scarlett is a California native who relocated to the region from Chicago in 2019.
Mr. Jeffrey Steer (LMFT44900) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 8 years of experience
providing general education and ERMHS counseling support in K-12 school settings. Mr. Steer also has experience in crisis mental health for children and adolescents in a county agency, has experience providing individual and group counseling in two family resource centers, and has experience providing individual and group counseling to children and adolescents in two residential treatment facilities. Mr. Steer relocated from the Salinas/Monterey area of California to the Sacramento area in 2003 and began working for FCUSD in 2021.
