Welcome to Mrs. Passovoy's Math Class!
I am looking forward to another busy year of math learning and thinking in 2023-24. My goal is to create a classroom that is a safe space where you feel valued for who you are as a person and as a math student. The perseverance and problem-solving skills that you practice within our math class transfer to all sorts of other places in your life, even when you might feel like the math topic is really specific (and is only good for helping you with next year's math standards). I hope you will come in with an open mind, ready to work consistently throughout the school year.
Google Classroom is the place to be for all of your assignments and resources this year. You should visit your math page in Google Classroom (GC for short) on a daily basis.
Please use the links on the sidebar to review the Course Description/Syllabus for this year.
Supplies: Several pencils with erasers, several pens, scientific calculator (T.I. 30 or better), a 3-section spiral notebook, graph paper, small ruler or protractor, white board markers, colored pencils.
Thanks in advance!
Parents, check out the tips on the Helpful Parent Info page and be sure to register for the Parent Portal so that you will be able to view your student's grades and attendance. Registering will also allow me to easily email you with updates.
