This year I will be using Google Classroom,as well as email, as my primary ways of communicating with parents and kids. The kids will want to check their Google Classroom "stream" every day to see if there is anything new from me. I will also remind them in class too. I will also work with them during the first week of school to make sure they can access my Google Classroom page.
