Hello Oak Chan Dragons,
Hopefully you've received an email from me touching base with all of you to see how you've been doing. My plan so far is to do weekly emails, some youtube videos, and office hours. Please do not feel like you HAVE to be doing something or doing something every day activity-wise with your kiddos, I don't want to pile up your plates too high!
As far as IEPs go...we will not be holding them as of right now, and we are awaiting the district's direction on how to proceed with them. Hang tight!
I am always available via email, especially during school hours, to get back to you with any questions you may have. I do have Zoom, if you would like to set up a video chat. Even if you'd like to drop an email with how you are doing and say "hi," I'd love that, I miss my students!
I made a youtube video for an update: https://youtu.be/V5npdFLXOPw Please let me know how this works out for you, and if you'd like more.
Office Hours: usually 10-12. I am available during my office hours for Zoom or email. Zoom has a nice chat feature as well, if you don't want to video. If your kiddo wants to say hi (again, I would love this), there will be a parental consent form your teacher will likely send to you soon. Please check "class calendar" section, as I may need to update office hours on any given day for meetings, etc. Please let me know if and when you'd like to zoom, I've been advised not to publicly post the meeting ID #.
Hang in there, as always, thank you for your patience during this time,
Hello Oak Chan Families!
My name is Jenna Bolay, and I'm the full time Speech-Language Pathologist here. Born and raised in Florida, I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), and my graduate degree at Sacramento State University. I have lived in Folsom since 2003, and absolutely love it here. Prior to working for FCUSD, I worked for a private practice for about 5 years before taking some time off to raise a family. My own kids are Oak Chan Dragons (one is still in attendance here), so Oak Chan is near and dear to my heart. I love all things Harry Potter, and continue to add more Hogwarts items to my room. I love working with the elementary population, and work hard to make sure my students are making progress in their goals and having a fun time doing so.
