    • Remember tomorrow we will be following the New Distance Learning Schedule.  Every Monday the students will log into their classes from 8:25-8:45 to connect with their teacher.  The teacher will provide activities and lessons for the student to complete following the meeting.

    • If your student hasn't finished the I-Ready diagnostic please do so during the asynchronous learning time this week.  We need everyone to finish before September 30th.

Remember:  Please use the school chromebook for this as outside computers don't work as well.  It is very important that once your student is logged in and you have made sure it is working properly that you do not help answer any questions.  This diagnostic determines the I-Ready lessons that your student needs.  If you were to help your student they could be placed into the wrong lesson and feel frustrated all year.  We also need you to encourage your student to do the best they can so they don't get placed in lessons that are too easy for them.  They will get frustrated that they don't know some of the answers and that is ok.  Here are some great tips for families as well as a link to a short video with a lot of useful information.

    • Our PTA is having a membership drive.  Membership is only $8 per adult and will easily pay for itself with discounts and offers for our PTA members during the year.  PTA welcomes all parents, teachers, family members, neighbors, anyone who'd like to be involved.  Meeting attendance is not required however all meetings are easy to attend since they are on Zoom or Skype this year.  You can register electonically by clicking here.

    • Free and Reduced Meal applications submitted during the 2019-2020 school year have now expired.  If your student participates in the National School Lunch and/or the School Breakfast program and you have not submitted an application for the current 2020-2021 school year, please submit one Now.  If you are not sure if you applied for this school year, please call the Food Service office at 916-294-9011.  Meal applications are available at all school sites, at the Education Services Center and online.  To apply on line, please visit www.fcusd.org/meals. If you have multiple students, please list all names on one application.

For the week of...     September 7th, 2020

    Announcements...

    • We hope you are enjoying your labor day weekend and taking this time to rest and recharge with your loved ones.  It is important that we all remember to take time for ourselves so that we can care for others.  Here is a little reminder of ways that can help you take a few moments for yourself.  Remember no school tomorrow.

    • This week we will be starting the I-Ready diagnostic during the asynchronous learning time.  Please use the school chromebook for this as outside computers don't work as well.

    • We will be holding our second bi-weekly material distribution on Friday, September 11th from 8am-3pm.  The materials will be located in front of the office.  If you have items to return to your teacher you may bring them and put them in your folder. Please remember to wear a mask and keep a distance from others as you gather your students items.

    • You can help increase Navigator's funding by completing this one form.  This form is not just an application for free or reduced meals.  This ensures Navigator receives the most funding possible from the state.  This funding is used for services, intervention teachers, academic coaches, special programs, technology, field trips and more.

    • Student meals will be available Monday-Friday, 11am-1pm.  The student will need to provide their pin number or name during curbside pick up.  Meals will only be available to our Navigator students.  Lunch is $2.50 unless you are approved in our free lunch program. Click here to apply online.
