Welcome to Folsom Lake High School. As we journey through the new 2018-2019 school year, I am excited to work alongside families, students, staff and our community to provide a positive school experience for students and their families. With continued support, my hope that all students will complete high school by earning a high school diploma. I continue to be inspired by the dedication and commitment of our entire staff as we work together to support students in achieving this goal.

The primary focus of FLHS is to provide a positive and supportive environment to enable and empower students to close credit recovery/gaps to graduate on schedule, and gain skills they can use post-graduation in either college or their careers. Over the past two years, Folsom Lake has been working to build a CTE (Career Technical Education) program, providing students with exposure, experience and skills that are preparing them for post-secondary pathways, with a Marketing class and an E-Business class. Internship placements have also been arranged over the past two years based on students’ interests. In addition, to the CTE classes, we also offer a new Forensics class and the opportunity for students to get their hands dirty by working in the school garden during the Agriculture and Natural Resources class.

My focus for the 2018-2019 school year is to implement SMART Goals across curriculum, apply for Model School and ensure we have a successful WASC Accreditation (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). Folsom Lake’s last visitation was six years ago when we received the highest honor, with a Six Year Clear Accreditation. Our visiting committee will be joining us this year from Sunday, March 17, 2019 to Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

I am truly honored to work alongside such an outstanding group of people who are dedicated to student achievement and success. We are here to push, encourage and guide students in a positive direction for the purpose of opening doors to a bright future.
