Welcome to the 2023-24 school year where I am hopeful that school will look “normal” again with buzzing playgrounds, full classrooms and bring all the joys that elementary school has for our students and families.

My name is Kim Christierson, and as many of you know I was named principal of White Rock Elementary (WRE) last April.  Prior to that I was the assistant principal where I grew attached to all the wonderful things that make WRE a special place to work and learn.

As the principal, my focus will be on creating a learning environment that addresses the needs of the whole child.  We are all unique, we all have different interests and we all learn in different ways.  It is my challenge to ensure that the learning environment at WRE is one that values our students uniqueness.  In addition, I will continue to ensure that we offer students the academic support and programs they need to be successful.

Coming back to school after a year of uncertainty has different implications for all of us.  As your principal, I am taking action to support your child’s reentry into school so that they will feel safe, successful, and have a sense of belonging.  Please partner with me and our staff in assuring your child that they can safely return, and that the WR team is here to help.

It is a great honor to be a part or your child’s life.  If I can be of help, in any way, please feel free to contact me.

    Mrs. Kim Christierson
