Welcome to 6th Grade Science!

  • Hello,

My name is Nicole Quintanilla (students like to call me Mrs. Q) and I’ve been teaching science for 8 years now.  I’ve taught 6-9th grade science, and 6th grade science is my favorite!  I’ve been teaching at SMS for four years now and I love the staff, students and community.

There are a few materials that I have posted here on my website that I encourage you to take a look at when you have some time.  I have posted my 6th grade science syllabus that includes detailed information regarding our science class including the 6th grade science grading policy, information regarding absences, etc.  Please take a moment to look at this document at your convenience.  Students will be sent home with a form that contains a QR code that links to the syllabus (it can also be found on Google Classroom).  Once you have viewed the syllabus, please fill out and sign the form that goes home with your student.  All students need to return this form to me by Thursday, August 26.   I will be available to answer any questions on our scheduled schoolwide Back to School Night (Tuesday, August 31) from 6:00-7:45pm.  If you are unable to attend Back to School Night, the slideshow presentation will also be posted here on my website.

I am looking forward to getting to know your student this year in science class.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any point this school year.  You can reach me by email at nquintanilla@fcusd.org.

    Thank you,

    Mrs. Quintanilla
