IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME, I WOULD LAND INworld Philadelphia in 1787 and observe the three months of work and debate which created the U.S. Constitution ENJOYING the discussions, arguments and compromise in this 230 years old document would be an insightful experience.
MY FAVORITE ACTIVITY IN CLASS WOULD HAVE TO BE experience watching students engage in educated conversation and debate about the issues they value most SINCE it is often these insightful interations which lead to future pursuits in education and career.

I BELIEVE Helen Keller IS MY FAVORITE HISTORICAL FIGURE SINCE she is much more complex than most people realize. When we are little kids we learn about how she overcame being blind and deaf, but she was also a feminist, a radical, a supporter of the NAACP, and a founder of the ACLU. She was an amazing advocate of economic and social justice in our country.
