The district is developing a plan to do distant learning. In the meantime you can keep up with your iReady in an effort to keep those math and ELA skills sharp!
Also, you can access McGraw Hill textbook through the Clever Portal (make sure you login under your SCHOOL ACCOUNT).
6th Grade: Review Chapter 6: Equations. Also, do assigned iReady lessons (Equations and Inequalities).
7th Grade: Review Chapter 5 Expressions. Also, do assigned iReady lessons (Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities).
Math 180: Do your Math 180 computer lessons during school hours.
Let me know if you have any difficulties accessing the internet for distance learning, we even have a survey on our website so if you need technology assistance please complete it. Take very good care of yourself!
Please check Google Classrooms for more specific details.
Welcome Students and Parents!I am excited to teach 6th and 7th grade math this year at Mitchell. I am looking forward to working with your students. My goal this year is to have students engaged in mathematics by solving math problems in an engaging way. Each student will be issued a consumable textbook that they can take home or leave in the classroom. Students can tear out their homework pages and take them home.Homework will be relevant and help students with their learning. If students are taking longer than 20 minutes on homework, students need to stop and write a note stating that it took them 20 minutes to get that far. I will be able to help those students who need the extra support. Homework may consist of workbook pages, math related videos, prepping or taking notes, studying for summatives or working on their classroom projects. Homework assignments will be written down in your student’s planner and will be available online as well under “Homework” link to the left.We will be working on journals and interactive notebooks in class. This gives students the opportunity to write about math. Please see the "Supply List 2019-2020" to the left for what will be helpful this year in math.Thank you,Mrs. Sinclair
