Welcome to my online classroom!
About Mr. Cassidy:I am a Sacramento native, having grown up in Carmichael, just down river from here. I love learning in all content areas, and, when I'm not teaching, I can frequently be found doing something outdoors -- hiking, biking, etc.I have a B.A. in English and minor in Philosophy from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. From there, I moved to Los Angeles where I earned my English teaching credential and Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University.I taught 11th Grade English for five years at Oscar de la Hoya Animo Charter High School. While there, I went to Cal State Los Angeles to earn my Math teaching credential. After that, I spent the last five years teaching Math Intervention and 7th Grade Pre-AP English at Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep Charter Middle School. This is my seventh year teaching Math at Sutter Middle School. It's my second year teaching Game Design. I love our students and families and am excited to bring a love of math and problem solving to the classroom.I have a wonderful wife, Tisa, who is a special education teacher here at Sutter. Together, we try to raise two little crazy kids (North, age 11, and Adeline almost age 10). Updated pictures at the bottom. On the left you'll find links to helpful resources for each class. And here's a picture of my family, backpacking in the summer of 2017:
