    Welcome to Teacher Induction!

We value our new teachers and are excited you are here. We are looking forward to taking this journey with you! If you have a preliminary credential and need to clear it, please contact this office at your earliest convenience.

Please note that we are now taking applications for the 23-24 school year. Please apply via TalentEd.

Program Cost: FCUSD supports and greatly values the Teacher Induction program.  The program cost is covered by FCUSD, so there is no cost to the contractual teacher. *Temporary teachers can participate and FCUSD will cover the cost this year! Substitute teachers and Intern teachers do not qualify for the program.

Enrollment: Complete the Teacher Induction/BTSA Application on TalentEd. You must hold a preliminary credential to qualify for the program.

Mentor: You will be matched with an experienced Mentor who will help guide you on your journey. Every effort is made to match new teachers with the best Mentor for the individual. Proximity, credential type, grade level/subject matter and more, are all considered when matching Mentors with New Teachers.

Transition Plan or Individual Development Plan (IDP): Please locate your pre-service program transition plan and bring it to the first meeting you have with your assigned Mentor.

FCUSD New Teacher Orientation: The FCUSD New Teacher Orientation is hosted by the Human Resources Department every year before school begins.

FCUSD Teacher Induction Orientation: The FCUSD Teacher Induction Orientation is held every year during the first few weeks of school.

FCUSD District Meetings: New Teachers and Mentors are required to attend our district meetings. Please see the list of district meetings in Google Classroom, once accepted to the program.

The Folsom Cordova Unified School District is currently in Stage V of the Accreditation process through CTC.
