• Welcome to Mrs. Bean's 2nd Grade class page!

  • About Me:
The 2019-2020 school year will be my 8th year of teaching. I have my BA in Liberal Studies from Fresno State University, my Cross Cultural Training Certifiate from UC Berkeley, my Multiple Subject (K-8) Teaching Credential from Sierra Nevada College, and my M.Ed. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University.

I am an educator because I have an opportunity to create a safe and caring environment for every student to learn. As a child, I specifically remember having teachers that deeply impacted my life in both positive and negative ways. I understood how a great teacher could have such a powerful impact on a child, and I want to be that for every one of my students. When I first began teaching, my mom wrote me a letter before my first day. She said, “Your students may not remember everything you taught them, but they will always remember how you made them feel.” I want to make them feel like they can do anything while fostering a love of lifelong learning, that is why I am here! I want to have a positive impact on my students’ lives and support and guide them through obstacles they encounter in the moment so their parents are at ease and understand they are in good hands.

When I am not teaching, I love to read, relax, and spend time with my family. I also love working out and support my husband in running a local business. My husband, Kevin, and I have 2 boys Mikko (5) and Tyson (3). We are from the bay area, and live in El Dorado Hills. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this coming school year!
