• Dear Cordova Meadows Families,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!  I am honored to be the principal of the Cub Community.  This is an amazing neighborhood full of families and students who are supportive of our school and staff.  With the support of our Assistant Principal, Andrea Rodriguez, and our amazing staff, we are eager to continue to build our programs and work in partnership with you to ensure each child’s academic and social emotional success.

We focus on PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) initiatives, Common Core State Standards, ELD Standards, and differentiated learning for all of our students. We use data to inform instruction through Professional Learning Communities and implementation of our adopted curriculum, enVision Math and Benchmark Advance ELA/ELD. We also provide challenging and engaging enrichment opportunities for all students.

We continue to have the opportunity to be the only elementary school to have an after-school 3rd-5th grade Black Student Union (BSU) for all of our students who would like to learn more about equity work.  I am confident that, together, we can continue to make Cordova Meadows a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.

    Sincerely,

    Amber Fontaine, Principal
