    Graduation Details

    DIPLOMAS WILL BE READY FOR PICK UP STARTING ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2ND IN THE ADMIN OFFICE.

    Graduates who chose the Traditional Stadium option:

    Mandatory Practice, Friday, May 28th at 9:00 a.m. Practice takes approximately 90 minutes.

    Stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. The Ceremony starts at 6:00 p.m. Tickets ARE required for graduation.  Each Graduate will receive 2 tickets for their guests at the conclusion of practice. 

    Masks are mandatory for everyone.  Graduates may take off their mask to have Lifetouch Portraits take their photo after receiving their diploma cover.

    Due to construction on the upper blacktop area,  PARKING IS LIMITED TO THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL, BEHIND THE GYM, and ALONG THE FENCE BETWEEN CORDOVA AND MILLS. 

    Graduates arrive in their cap and gown at 5:00 p.m. BEHIND THE TENNIS COURTS. The following items are not permitted: “Decorating Caps”,  flower, candy or money leis, non-school issued stoles, etc. 

    Graduates may not wear or carry any backpacks, purses or any object that would disrupt the ceremony.

    At the conclusion of the ceremony graduates will be dismissed to pick up their diplomas behind the auxiliary gym.  Guests will exit the same way they entered and meet the graduates at the car.  Guest are not allowed on the field at any point.

    Graduates who chose the Drive-up option:

    Friday,  May 28, 2021

    Front of the Performing Arts Center. 

    Students will walk across the stage in front of the Performing Arts Center.  Graduates will receive their diploma cover on stage and have their picture taken (Lifetouch Portraits) with family members watching from their car in front of the stage.  Only the graduate will get out of the car. Once students exit the stage they will pick up their diploma from their counselors who will be standing by. 

    Masks are Mandatory and may be removed momentarily for the picture on stage.

    To help alleviate traffic on Chase we ask that graduates arrive at the following times:

    12:30 – Last Names A – H

    1:15 – Last Names  I – R

    2:00 – Last Names S – Z

    The gates will close promptly at 3:00 p.m.

    Please remind students to turn in their Chromebooks, textbooks, library books and pay any fines they may have.

     
    FCUSD Cap and Gown Policy

    To participate in the graduation ceremony, all graduates must wear a cap, gown, and tassel in approved school color. Students have two options to secure a cap, gown, and tassel for graduation:

    1)   Students may choose to purchase a cap, gown, and tassel to use in the ceremony and keep as a personal memento through our vendor, Herff Jones.

    2)   Students may borrow a District-provided cap, gown, and tassel to use during the ceremony. Students will not be asked to demonstrate financial need to use a District-provided cap, gown, and tassel, EC 49011 (e). Due to COVID19 we are not able to offer borrowing gowns currently.
